Russian athletes will not take part in the 2024 Olympics

Opinions of the sports community are divided on this matter. Some are categorically against participating in theOlympic Gamesin Paris under the conditions announced by the International Olympic Committee, while others believe that athletes should not be deprived of the opportunity to compete at the international level and should remain outside of politics.

At the moment it is unknown whether any of the Russian athletes will decide to travel to Paris. Presumably, these could be tennis players or cyclists, that is, those who, theoretically, can still have time to go through the qualifying stages, and this is provided that they turn a blind eye to the absence of our athletes in a number of other international competitions preceding participation in the Olympics. However, it is certain that Russian gymnasts should not expect performances there, since the head of the Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics, Irina Viner, is categorically against participation in the Olympic Games. 

Wrestlers and athletes who are associated with the sports organizations CSKA and Dynamo, and may be related to a special military operation, will not be able to take part in them.
